Some questions frequently asked by users : what's a good hairstyle for cosmetology school? (cosmo students and/or hairdressers please answer)?
ok, so i'm starting cosmetology school in a couple months. i will be working a full time job as well while i'm in school. i'm wondering what i should do with my own hair since students at the school i am going to practice on each others hair. should i leave it longer (a few inches or so below the shoulders) so my fellow students have something to work with or should i get it cut short so it is lower maintenance for me?
should i go to cosmetology school? what do they teach there? 10 points fot best answer!?
hello im a senior in high school. i want to be a hair stylist or a barber (someone who cuts men's hair) ok so here's my problem lol i'm not trying to be racist so sorry if i offend anyone but i'm black and i grew up in a home were we didnt wear weave or get relaxers/perms etc because we don't have black ppl hair. our hair is already straight lol i come from a mixed family my mom is black and white so that is why me and my siblings hair is already straight and naturally oily. we never learned how to braid french braids and cornrows nor did we learn how to sew in weave. i want to work in a salon and rent a chair and do black peoples hair like put weave in and relaxers and straighten their hair etc. i mean i wanna do everyones hair but i feel like if it were white people it would be useless because their hair is really already done. do cosmetology schools teach u how to braid and install weave or u have to learn yourself? do they teach u on white people's hair or black or both?
i'm going in to cosmetology?
so this fall i will be starting college. i'm going into cosmetology. will someone tell me what to expect? will they teach me how to do make-up? will they just throw me in there and tell me to cut this hairstyle this way without teaching me?
rizzeri aveda school (cosmetology school in general)?
i'm interested in going to a cosmetology school (rizzeria aveda) and i was wondering if anyone knew if that was a good school and if it's worth persuing a career in cosmetology? i know there are celebrity hair dressers and makeup artists, but how likely would that even be? i do love doing hair and makeup i'm just unsure if that'd be a smart move.
should i go into cosmetology?
it seems like a fun and glamarous job, even though i know there is also hard work involved. i don't know much about doing hair, but of course that's where the schooling would come in. i kind of want to go to learn how to do hair on myself though, i know that sounds kind of silly but i've always wanted to be able to do really pretty hairstyles on my own and stuff like that and wouldn't want to go to a salon every day to style my hair nice. and i don't think there's many classes that you can take where they just teach you to do your own hair but i still think a career in cosmetology would be interesting! thanks :) oh, and it has everything to do with the higher education heading because i'm considering a higher education in cosmetology, read it more thoroughly next time. thanks.
